Preschool, Ballet, and a Perfect Weekend at Myakka State Park
Hey there, friend! It's been a whirlwind of activity in my life recently, and I wanted to take a moment to catch up with all of you. Life has been buzzing with excitement, especially as my oldest daughter started preschool and added not one, but two ballet classes to her weekly routine.
Preschool has been a big step for her, and watching her enthusiasm for learning and making new friends is both heartwarming and bittersweet. It feels like just yesterday she was a tiny baby, and now she's taking her first steps toward independence.
Speaking of steps, ballet has become a big part of her life too. Two days a week, she twirls and pliés her way through her ballet classes, and I couldn't be prouder. Seeing her develop her grace and discipline at such a young age is truly remarkable.
This weekend, we decided to take a break from our busy schedules and immerse ourselves in nature. We packed our bags and headed to Myakka State Park, and let me tell you, it was a perfect weekend! The park's sprawling landscapes, towering oak trees, and serene waters offered the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
We spent the day hiking along the scenic trails, spotting wildlife, and climbing trees. It was so refreshing to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the beauty of nature. Watching our little ones explore the outdoors, their eyes wide with wonder, made it even more special. Lyric even climbed her first tree! Which made us feel like we have failed as parents since she will be 5 at the end of the month! 🤦🏻♀️ How have we never let her climb a tree?!? I'm not sure but good thing we are outdoorsy now lol, We will make sure she climbs plenty of trees going forward!
Anyway, now that we've caught up on our side of things, I'm curious about you, friend. How have you been doing? What's been happening in your lives? Have any exciting adventures or new beginnings come your way? Please share with us in the comments below—I'd love to hear from you and reconnect with our wonderful community.
Until next time, stay well and take some time to soak in the beauty of the world around you. Life may be busy, but there's always room for a little adventure and connection. 😊
XOXO
